Six weights for your home workouts

The BowFlex SelectTech 840 combines six selectable loads in a single kettlebell. Use a lighter setting for movements that need more control, then increase the resistance as your training progresses. Its compact design helps you build a varied home workout setup without storing a separate kettlebell for every weight.

Change the resistance between exercises

Place the kettlebell fully in its base, turn the selector to the required weight and lift it vertically. The selected plates lift with the kettlebell, while the remaining plates stay in the base. The six settings run from 8 to 40lb, giving you a practical range for different movements and training levels.

A compact addition to a home gym

Use the 840 for exercises such as kettlebell swings, goblet squats, rows and carries, with a load suited to the movement and your ability. Pair it with adjustable dumbbells or an exercise mat to create a compact home training area.

Is the BowFlex 840 sold as a single kettlebell or a pair

This listing is for one adjustable kettlebell with its base. Order two units if you want a pair for exercises using a kettlebell in each hand.

What weight settings does it offer

It has six settings: 8, 12, 20, 25, 35 and 40lb. These are approximately 3.6, 5.4, 9.1, 11.3, 15.9 and 18.1kg. Some regional versions use rounded kilogram labels.

How many kettlebells does it replace

One 840 provides six selectable loads, reducing the number of separate kettlebells you need to store.

How do I change the weight

Seat the kettlebell fully in its base and turn the dial to a complete marked setting. Lift the kettlebell vertically. Unselected plates remain in the base; do not adjust the dial while the kettlebell is out of its base.

Does it require an app or electricity to adjust the weight

The weight selection is mechanical. An app or electrical connection is not required to select a load or train with the kettlebell.

Can I use it for swings and squats

It can be used for kettlebell movements such as swings and goblet squats. Choose a load you can control and follow the product instructions and appropriate exercise technique.

Is it suitable for a commercial gym

BowFlex specifies home use for this model. Choose fixed kettlebells intended for commercial use when equipping a shared gym or training facility.

Can I drop it onto rubber gym flooring

No. Lower it under control. Rubber flooring does not make dropping an adjustable kettlebell appropriate, because impact can damage its plates or selector mechanism.
